The character was portrayed through 13 seasons by Murphy who passed away in 2009. Much of the original cast will be back, though it is unclear who will voice Luanne Platter if she returns.
With the rise of streaming, and potential to quickly binge short episodes, it may end up being a hit on Hulu.
King of the Hill's absence on Fox might not affect its level of success though, considering the series' audience grew as it became more available over the years.
Instead, the revival series will air episodes on Hulu. A King of the Hill revival was revealed to be in development last year, but despite gaining popularity alongside Fox's other animated series, including The Simpsons, the network decided not to feature the show in any of its lineups.
