They needed to repair themselves emotionally first, and Quinn knew it was the right speed for Quinn. It was a slow burn romance, but I think that was the right speed for this pair. He is there for him when his family try to control him when things start going to hell, but luckily he had Rafe. Rafe understands what Quinn needs unlike his family. They are so much alike in some respects so they understand how each other tick. It was lovely seeing Quinn and Morgan reconnect. He feels like his head and life are messed up, but he luckily has amazing people around him in the form on the Morgans. He is still judged by his actions, they don't see how much he has changed from that person. He is battered by all that he went through, he my have beat the drugs, but life still continues to beat him up. He is a recovering drug addict and feels that he is still far from recovered mentally. Rate has face rock bottom and is slowly trying to get his life back on track. He finally started to stand up for himself and show his family that he is still not like he was at a teenager, struggling to cope with everything. It was amazing seeing him progress in this book, he came out of his shell a bit more.

They loved him, but they don't really understand him. He is not really understood by his family, which was hard to see.

I loved really getting to know Quinn, and not what his brothers think they know about who he is. He is a genius, and he works as a professor. He processes things differently, thinks differently, and that puts him at odds with the world he lives in. He is very misunderstood by his family, and so very different to them. We have met both is previous books and I really couldn't wait to finally get to know them. I thought it was about times I did, and I so regret not reading it sooner.
